Privacy notice
Last updated: 3 October 2026. This notice explains how personal data is handled when you visit YogaHotel, use its retreat-discovery features, follow an affiliate link or contact us.
Who is responsible for your data?
YogaHotel is operated by Synergy Web Design, a sole trader in Ireland. Synergy Web Design is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice.

What data we process
- Consent preferences: whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics, plus the time that choice was saved.
- Analytics data, only with consent: page views, approximate geographic area, device and browser information, referring page, destination-filter use and clicks from YogaHotel to BookYogaRetreats. Google Analytics uses first-party identifiers; Google states that IP addresses are used during collection but are not logged or stored.
- Technical and security data: hosting and security systems may process IP address, request time, requested page, browser details and diagnostic information needed to deliver and protect the website.
- Communications: if you email us, we receive the address, name and other information you choose to include.
YogaHotel does not currently provide user accounts, accept payments or collect booking details. Bookings take place on BookYogaRetreats.

You can refuse analytics without losing access to the website. You can withdraw consent at any time through . Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
You are not required by law or contract to provide analytics data or send us an email. Essential technical data is transmitted automatically when your browser requests a page; without it, the website cannot be delivered securely.
Who receives the data?
- Website hosting and security providers, which process technical data to deliver and protect the site.
- Google Ireland Limited and relevant Google group companies, acting as service providers for Google Analytics when you consent. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled in YogaHotel's site configuration.
- Professional advisers, regulators or public authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required.
When you click a BookYogaRetreats link, you leave YogaHotel and Tripaneer B.V. receives information according to its own practices as an independent controller. YogaHotel does not receive your booking or payment details. See the BookYogaRetreats privacy policy.
International transfers
Some hosting and analytics providers operate internationally, so personal data may be processed outside Ireland or the European Economic Area. Where required, providers use a lawful transfer mechanism such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses. Google describes its Analytics processing and transfer safeguards in its Analytics data safeguards.
How long we keep data
- Consent preferences are stored in your browser for 180 days.
- Google Analytics cookies are configured for up to 13 months. Event-level Analytics data is kept for no longer than 14 months.
- Security and hosting logs are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to operate and protect the site, investigate incidents and meet legal obligations, subject to provider retention schedules.
- Email correspondence is normally kept for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless a longer period is needed for a legal obligation, dispute or claim.
Your data-protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Rights are not absolute and a lawful exemption may apply.

Automated decisions and children
YogaHotel does not use personal data to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The site is intended for adults researching travel and is not directed to children under 16. Please do not send us information about a child unless it is necessary and you are authorised to do so.
Security and changes
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this notice when the site, providers or legal requirements change; the latest version and revision date will remain on this page.
